As a Crystal Reports Consultant you will be responsible for writing or modifying crystal reports for clients and also occasional internal projects against SQL Server databases ensuring that consistent methodology and best practice is being followed.

You will become the figure head for report writing within the group, suggesting ideas and influencing other departments on the best use of reporting technologies and best practice. You will take ownership of the entire report writing process from requirements gathering, documenting, report writing, testing, delivery and bug fixing; attending on site and off site client meetings and regular communication of progress and status.

Naturally you will be writing SQL views to manipulate data before a report is written and developing reports in Crystal reports 9,10, XI, 2011.

To be considered for this Crystal Reports Consultant role you will have worked for a software supplier or consultancy and have been in a client-facing role writing reports and SQL views in the past - being able to demonstrate complete fluency in writing crystal reports using ODBC or OLEDB connections. You will be able to demonstrate complete fluency in the use of SQL to manipulate data in a SQL server database and have a sufficient level of technical ability and knowledge to be able to understand the entire proposed software solution and translate a part of this into a report which meets a business requirement.

Any experience in a client-facing role writing SQL Stored procedures and knowledge of Accounting, MRP and PSA software would be very beneficial.

This Crystal Reports Consultant role will include frequent national travel that may include overnight stays. There may be very occasional international travel. Salary will be subject commensurate with experience and will include healthcare option, car and a fully expensed mobile phone.
